KeePass 1.x Configuration Guide

For Firefox please replace KeeForm.exe with KeeFormFF.exe below. You also need to install the Mozrepl Firefox extension. See installation instructions at the end.

Download Keeform and unzip the archive. Then copy KeeForm.exe and KeeRun.exe into a folder that contains KeePass.exe.

To make KeeForm the default URL handler for KeePass, add the following line to the KeePass.ini file after the [KeePass] tag

KeeUrlOverride= cmd://"{APPDIR}\KeeForm.exe" "{URL}" "{USERNAME}" "{PASSWORD}" {ENTERFORM}

The KeePass.in file can be located in different folders. See more about this at

http://keepass.info/help/base/configuration.html

If the Keepass.ini file does not exit yet, you could also create it yourself.

If you prefer to submit forms manually, then just try the following setting.

KeeUrlOverride= cmd://"{APPDIR}\KeeForm.exe" "{URL}" "{USERNAME}" "{PASSWORD}"

You can override the global setting for individual entries, by adding the following into the notes field of these entries.

Url-Override: "{URL}"

To make KeeForm the default URL handler for KeePass, navigate in the KeePass main menu to Tools -> Options -> Integration and enter the following setting in the input field Override all URLs.

cmd://"{APPDIR}\KeeForm.exe" "{URL}" "{USERNAME}" "{PASSWORD}" "{ENTERFORM}"

You can override the global setting "Override all Urls" for individual entries. The option for this can be found in the EditEntry -> Properties dialog.

If you prefer to submit forms manually, then just try the following setting.

cmd://"{APPDIR}\KeeForm.exe" "{URL}" "{USERNAME}" "{PASSWORD}"

Mozrepl Firefox Extension

Before you can run KeeFormFF for Firefox you need to install the Mozrepl Firefox extension. To install just click on the following link:

After the installation of Mozrepl, you have to start it. Go to the Firefox Tools menu and select MozRepzl -> Start MozRepl. You should also select Activate on startup. Please do not change the port number (which has to be 4242).
